Team Captain

Jason Liu

Jason is a grade 11 student from University of Toronto Schools. Jasons interest in robotics started when he joined his school’s robotics team, but he wanted to do more so he joined the Drive Gears team!

Head of Outreach Operations

Magnus Guo

Magnus is a grade 10 student at Bayview Secondary School. He is an avid plane enthusiast and is in charge of all Outreach and the DriveGears team's Instagram account.

Lead Mechanic

Owen Yin

Owen is a grade 9 student also in Bayview Secondary School. His skill in both programming and mechanics help him support the team greatly.

Media and Art Designer

Jonathan Gordenskov

Jonathan is a grade 8 student at Silver-stream Public School. He has helped with mechanics. Jonathan joined the Drive Gears to challenge himself and learn new things. He also has past experiences with Arduino.

Lead Programmer

Richard Lan

Richard is a grade 10 student at Bayview Secondary School. He has worked on most of the autonomous programming and other aspects of the code. Richard has past experience with Java, and Arduino.

CAD/3D Design & Mechanic

Dylan Chunyu

Dylan is a grade 12 student that goes to Bayview Secondary School. He helped with many mechanical aspects of the robot and designed some objects used on it.

Mechanic

Leo Li

Leo is a grade 11 student at Saint Theresa of Lisieux High School. He joined Drive Gears to learn new things and to do things that interests him. Leo has past experience with Arduino.

Mechanic

Theo Tan

Alex is a grade 12 student at North Toronto Collegiate Institute. He has previous experience with lego robots such as EV3, and he is currently the leader of his school’s VEX team.

Driver

Connor Tan

Connor is a grade 11 student at Westmount Collegiate Institute. He is the driver for the team but has also participated in mechanics and programming. Connor is an active learner and joined Drive Gears to put his skills to the test.
